Time for a Change??? 3 reasons you should relocate to Abu Dhabi

AMEC has unparalleled experience with delivering large and complex projects to clients. The company’s high quality of engineering and project management services are recognised around the world, more recently in the Middle East, as the business continues to grow its presence in the region. Due to this growth, AMEC is looking to source talented professionals with experience in a PMC environment on large scale Oil & Gas projects, looking for a chance to develop their career in Abu Dhabi.

So why move to Abu Dhabi?

  1. Let’s start with the easy one; if you’re a part-time sun worshiper like many in the UK, a quick look at the weather forecast will show that December temperatures in the UK are likely to peak at something like 4 degrees…Abu Dahbi, on the other hand is experiencing a ‘chilly’ 27 degrees. Move forward into summer and things are looking significantly hotter, Abu Dhabi normally peaks somewhere in the mid- 40’s during June/July.
  2. But there is so much more to a life in Abu Dhabi, and the UAE. Abu Dhabi currently enjoys an enviable position: economic growth is accelerating; per capita income is one of the highest in the world; and Abu Dhabi’s citizens are wealthier and healthier than ever before. It’s said that Abu Dhabi’s citizens and residents enjoy one of the highest standards of living in the region. If it were assessed alone, the Emirate would rank 30th on the UNDP’s Human Development Index (HDI), which measures quality of life (according to life expectancy, education and literacy, and purchasing power) in 178 countries. As the economy in Abu Dhabi continues to grow, so too will the requirement for a flexible and experienced expatriate work force.
  3. For an oil and gas professional, this is a chance to work on some of the most technologically advanced engineering projects in the world. If you want to be at the forefront of the oil and gas industry, then Abu Dhabi is truly the place to be. The UAE is home to the world’s sixth largest proven oil reserves, of around 98bn barrels, and is the world’s tenth largest producer, at around 2.5m barrels per day (bpd), most of which is for export. It is estimated that this provides the Emirate with more than $90bn a year in revenues at current prices.

So if you’re looking for a lifestyle change, when better than now and where better than Abu Dhabi?

One of the things that makes me amazed with Abu Dhabi is its technological advancements. I have a friend that told me that every car there uses a gps because he is currently working in that country.
